Meet the Twisted Olive™ Team
These individuals make up a cohesive team that works together to ensure our guests have an amazing experience — not just some of the time but consistently. They are active participants, taking the initiative to help make things happen. Their whole approach is can-do: "What contribution can I make to provide the level of service that will comfort and delight our guests?” They consistently look beyond their own role and care about the team's overall goal. This commitment is about winning — they care about what the team is doing and they contribute to its success.
Effective teams pitch in to help each other and act together to accomplish the goal. The GV team players work this way by second nature. They respond to requests for assistance and take the initiative to offer the appropriate support to help get the job done.
bill slosser :: TWISTED OLIVE OPERATIONS MANAGER
I joined the Gervasi team in May of 2012, working in a variety of the main property buildings. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is to ensure guests have the best dining experience we can offer, overseeing staff, and normal day to day operations. Being part of an environment that is ever growing and locally focused is exceptionally rewarding. I am proud to be a part of a business that instills a passion throughout our tight knit "family". The people here are what make the experience so amazing. The passion from the Swaldo family is felt throughout each and every department.

kelly presson :: ASSISTANT operations MANAGER
I joined the team in February of 2010 and have had a variety of roles on property. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is to assist the Operations Manager with all day-to-day business responsibilities, as well as motivating our staff to exceed our customers' expectations. All of us here at GV Destinations are like a family; we support each other as we grow. The forward thinking, concern for the environment, and the beautiful community that is being created here is what makes the experience here so amazing.

BRAD PRESTON :: EVENT COORDINATOR & Gv destinations wine steward
I joined the Gervasi team in October of 2012, working as a server in The Bistro. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is the point of contact after you book your special event with us! Together we will make certain that your event will not only be special but extraordinary as well. I wanted to be the wine steward because of the passion that I have for wine, the process of making wine, and of course Gervasi. I am looking forward to working with the winery team to further my education and then passing that education on to not only employees but guests as well. To be a part of a team that not only strives for excellence and growth but makes you feel part of the family, is indescribable. The level of professionalism and standards set are everything that I love about the GV Destination venues. From top to bottom both properties nail the definition of what a perfect experience is. The landscape, the food, the service, and most certainly the wine, come together to create Gervasi Destinations.
Favorite TTO Spot: I love the oval room! Every time that I look at that room I can't help but imagine my birthday party. The raised center of that beautiful table filled with presents and bottles of wine and sixteen of my best friends gathered around for wonderful food, great times, and amazing memories!
Favorite TTO Dish: The Seared Sea Scallops with Red Pepper Jam and Fresh Basil Cream.
Favorite GV Wine: I appreciate ALL wine, but of course I do have some favorites! The Malvasia Bianca is my favorite white because I love the perfect blend of the floral and citrus notes. The Abbraccio is such a wonderful cabernet with a nice round finish.

MATTHEW MULLINS :: EVENT COORDINATOR
I joined the Gervasi team in April of 2010, working as a server in the Bistro. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is to coordinate private events in our private rooms. I absolutely love what I do for a living. I've never been one to sit still, so being on my feet running around a busy restaurant is right up my alley. Being around food, wine, and happy people in a lively atmosphere is just another plus to a wonderful job. What makes the GV experience amazing is the ambiance, atmosphere, and the dedication of our staff. There is truly no other restaurant or destination in Northeast Ohio that can match our scenery, as well as our dedication to becoming greater at our jobs every day.
Favorite TTO Spot: The Terrace Room - it provides a private location in the restaurant with a fantastic view of the grounds. It truly gives you the best of what's inside and outside of the restaurant.
Favorite TTO Dish: Crispy Brussels Sprouts

I joined the Gervasi team in March of 2010, working in a variety of the kitchens on property. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is to take care of all kitchen employees and ensure every guest has a great experience dining with us. From the very start at the Bistro at Gervasi Vineyard™ I had a lot of support from all managers. I like how the other managers helped me to develop my skills and are always looking forward to improvement. Support from them helped me get to where I am today. A combination of the beautiful grounds, excellent staff and dedication from our staff makes the GV experience amazing.
Favorite TTO Spot: The kitchen for sure!
Favorite TTO Dish: I really like our Pan Seared Scallops with Fresh Basil Cream and Red Pepper Jam, it is a great combination of flavors. I also enjoy the Chimichurri very much.

I joined the Gervasi team in May of 2013, working in the Villa Grande kitchen for banquets and special events. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is to lead and guide the kitchen staff. I love working at a Gervasi Destination because it truly is an amazing environment and I work with great people everyday! The details spent on everything around you from the beautiful landscape, decorations, and wonderful food make it such an amazing experience for our guests.

I joined the Gervasi team September of 2011, working at multiple venues. My role at The Twisted Olive™ is to help guide the kitchen staff and oversee food quality. I love working with everyone I've met over the last five years. They are some of the most dedicated, hardworking, and creative people I've met since I began working. The atmosphere at GV Destinations is what makes it stand out. There is no place like Gervasi Vineyard™ and The Twisted Olive™ anywhere else in this area. All of that combined with a great staff and excellent food make them some of the best places in Northeast Ohio.
